Statement
Cristina Calderoni has an interdisciplinary research, in which idea is at the service of technique, she produces installations, performances, sculptures and drawing. Her work is characterized by site-specific projects and the use of salvaged materials, which take on a political significance, following collective identity and memory. His research process starts from the archeology of place and the trace of the human being in it.
In my art process, assembling remnants of everyday life becomes an action to create thoughts.
Bio
Cristina Calderoni lives and works in Venice, Italy.
Since 2013 to the present she has exhibited in solo and group shows in Italy, Spain, Brazil, Austria, participating in national and international artist residency programs.
Among the most recent exhibitions one of her public works has been exhibited in an Italian city, Montebelluna, and in May 2023 she was invited to exhibit inside Villa Farsetti, Vicenza, in collaboration with the 18th Biennial Architecture.
