A sea of abandoned objects on the ground.Among the piles, I noticed metal containers reflecting the light. They are tin cans, although it is not important for our story to know what they are. I am more interested in their story. In my hands they become something else.I look at the tin and see my reflection, along with the reflection of everything around me. The mirror is a transgression and the light is always distorted. The same applies to our perception of reality: our experience acts as a filter between the world and ourselves. Our perception is always a reflection. I open the boxes and look for the soul/inside of the other. I try to make contact with this abandoned dimension, in search of what remains of the original identity. Rust is repeated history.I place open tin cans upside down on the wall to create light, perception and space.A contact between inside and outside. To dismantle a form is to understand its true origin. I go to the Nashmarket every Saturday, and every Saturday is a different market. It changes over time, every hour there are different people selling their goods, every hour a different attitude to life. The work comes from observing this different approach to life.
